100 YEARS OF LAVAZZA COFFEE
Luigi Lavazza, more than one hundred years ago, created the concept of blend, an element in which the coffee culture finds its fullest expression. Essential for a quality beverage, the best blends are created from different varieties of coffee, even five or six at a time.
For example, blends made exclusively with Arabica coffee beans are sweeter and more fragrant, while blends made of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans are full-bodied and have a strong flavor. Today, thanks to the research and development activity conducted by Lavazza, the company is able to garantee the consistent quality and taste of each of its coffee types, modulating the organoleptic characteristics in both 100% Arabica blends as those that combine Arabica and Robusta coffee beans.
The varieties of coffee originated from Brazil and Central America allow to create an infinity of blends of different flavor and aroma: full and chocolaty, when prevailing characteristics of Brazil, or fragrant, acidic and scented when Central American Arabica beans prevail.
